Ingush journalist Evloeva reproaches investigators for questioning her mother
During the questioning of an Isabella Evloeva’s mother, an investigator warned her of criminal liability for refusing to testify against her daughter, the Ingush journalist reported. She considers that fact as pressure on her elderly mother.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on June 7, Isabella Evloeva said that two criminal cases were being investigated against her for publicly disseminating knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces. According to Isabella Evloeva, the house of her parents in Sunzha was searched.
The first criminal case against Isabella Evloeva was instituted after she published a post about the participation of children in a rally in support of the special military operation in Ukraine.
Today, the mother of Isabella Evloeva has been summoned for a questioning in connection with the criminal cases against the journalist, Isabella Evloeva reports on her page in Facebook*.
Let us remind you that Isabella Evloeva is the editor-in-chief of the opposition Ingush publication “Fortanga”, and she covers events in Ingushetia, including the conflict over the borders between Chechnya and Ingushetia and the persecution of Ingush activists.
After the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, Isabella Evloeva announced that she would now cover in her Telegram channel the events in Ukraine and report the data on the Ingush militaries captured and killed in Ukraine.
*On March 21, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
