Beglaryan confirms Russia's version of blocking RIA "Novosti" in Azerbaijan
The RIA "Novosti" website has been blocked in Azerbaijan after posting an interview with Artak Beglaryan, State Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, the minister himself has explained, confirming the version of the Russian party.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 3, the website of the RIA "Novosti" became inaccessible to Azerbaijan. The Azeri Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) explained the blocking by the fact that this news agency had spread some information directed against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and was promoting separatism.
The RIA "Novosti" has stated that some Azerbaijani media had called for blocking access to its website after the latter had posted the above interview with the State Minister, Artak Beglaryan.
On June 4, Artak Beglaryan, State Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, supported the version that the RIA "Novosti" website was blocked in Azerbaijan because of an interview with him.
"This is another example of how much Azeri authorities are afraid of the truth," Beglaryan wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan has treated "the publication of slanderous materials against Azerbaijan" as the reason for blocking the RIA "Novosti" website, the "Turan" News Agency reported on June 4.
