Social media users doubt verification of conditions for selection of volunteers in Chechnya

Candidates for participation in the special military operation in Ukraine should not suffer from overweight and hemorrhoids, media report. It is not clear how the information provided by volunteer candidates is being checked, Instagram* users note.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on May 27, 200 volunteers left Grozny for Ukraine. Ramzan Kadyrov reports that “hundreds of Russian residents” are coming to Chechnya to be trained in Gudermes and go to Ukraine. The ranks of volunteers should be replenished by sons of MPs, Telegram users suggest.

Men with Russian citizenship, aged 20-49, “physically and mentally healthy, in good physical shape,” are accepted to participate in the special military operation in Ukraine, while military service experience is optional, the “Grozny Inform” reports.

It is emphasized that travel to Grozny will be paid only to those candidates who meet all conditions, including health criteria.

Earlier, the “Vayfond” human rights association reported about requests from residents of Chechnya to help avoid being sent to Ukraine. According to them, even a disabled person can be sent to Ukraine to take part in the special military operation.

After the start of the special military operation, Ramzan Kadyrov did not report about perished compatriots until March 1 when he announced the deaths of two natives of Chechnya. On April 7, other seven dead were reported by the “Chechnya Today” agency.

* On March 21, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
