Soldier blown up by a mine in Armenia
A contract military serviceman has been wounded by a mine explosion; however, there is no threat to his life.
"On May 17, Armen Babayan, a private contract soldier of one of the military units stationed in the north-eastern part of Armenia, was blown up by a mine," the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" wrote that in Azerbaijan, in the territories that came under its control after the Karabakh war of 2020, mine explosions regularly kill and wound people. In total, since November 10, 2020, seven military servicemen and 30 civilians have been killed as a result of mine explosions, other 110 militaries and 48 civilians have been wounded, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Azerbaijan reported on March 23.
