In Yerevan, a protester dies of cardiac arrest

An opposition supporter who participated in a protest action in Square of France died of cardiac arrest. The authorities have accumulated a lot of law enforcers near the square, but there is not a single ambulance car near the place of the protest, one of the activists has expressed her indignation.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that April 25, the opposition has been holding protests in Armenia demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after he announced his readiness to “lower the bar” on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. The protests in Yerevan are being held with an accumulation of law enforcers, and today, the police have reported about the detention of 69 activists.

An opposition supporter who stayed in one of the tents in Square of France felt unwell and was taken by an ambulance car to the university clinic, Shushan Danielyan, the head of the medical university’s administration, reported. “The man had a cardiac arrest. In the hospital, doctors immediately carried out all the necessary resuscitation, but the patient could not be saved,” said Shushan Danielyan.

There are several thousand police officers and not a single ambulance car around Square of France, Anzhela Elibegova, a participant of the protests, wrote on her page in Facebook*.

* On March 21, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
