Serviceman from Derbent awarded Order of Courage posthumously

Bekhman Verdikhanov, an officer from Derbent, who perished in the special operation in Ukraine, received the above order for his courage and bravery. Since the outbreak of hostilities, the authorities have confirmed the death of at least 72 militaries from Dagestan in Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 7, the authorities of the Karabudakhkent District reported the death of the grenade launcher, Shamil Shikhshabekov, in Ukraine.

Bekhman Verdikhanov, a marine corpsman, was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for his bravery. His parents have received the award, the "Dagestan" TV Channel has reported.

Verdikhanov was 28 years old; he perished on March 6 during the liberation of a dwelling settlement in the Kiev Region, when he was saving his comrades from encirclement.
