Daudov announces Kadyrov's new title

The President of Russia has awarded Ramzan Kadyrov the rank of Lieutenant General, Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, announced on March 28.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10, 2009, Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree conferring the rank of Police Major General on Ramzan Kadyrov; and on July 22, 2020, Vladimir Putin awarded the head of Chechnya the military rank of Major General of the "Rosgvardiya" (Russian National Guard).

Magomed Daudov announced the fact of Kadyrov's new military rank in his page on the VKontakte social network and on his Telegram channel. He has noted that in this way, Russian President "had deservedly appreciated Kadyrov's merits" before the Motherland.

Let us remind you that since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports about sending volunteer detachments to Ukraine and posts video reports from his unit commanders.

  • In Volgograd, court recognizes absence of HIV therapy in prison hospital

    The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
