Russian MoD announces withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from Karabakh village
After the talks, Azerbaijan has withdrawn its military units from the territory near the Karabakh village of Furukh, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, the Russian MoD accused Azerbaijani militaries of violating the tripartite agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh. The MoD stated that on March 24 and 25, Azerbaijani militaries entered the responsibility zone of Russian peacemakers and shelled the units of the Karabakh Army from Turkish drones. The President of Nagorno-Karabakh announced the introduction of the martial law.
The fact that Azerbaijan has withdrawn its military units from the village of Furukh (the Azerbaijani name of the village is Farrukh, the Armenian one is Parukh) is reported in the bulletin of the Russian MoD about the activities of Russian peacemakers, posted on March 27 at 7:00 p.m. Moscow time on the MoD's website.
"Based on the talk results, the Azerbaijani party has removed its units from the area of village of Furukh," the MoD said in its message, adding that the peacemakers have recorded two violations of the ceasefire regime by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the Askeran District. Two people on each of the sides were wounded.
