Residents of Parukh and Khramort accommodated with relatives in neighbouring Karabakh village

The evacuation of elderly people, women, and children from the villages of Parukh and Khramort in the Askeran District of Nagorno-Karabakh went without complications, and men from the two villages stayed there to defend Khramort, the heads of the communities reported. The village of Parukh remains under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces, and the negotiations conducted by Russian peacekeepers have so far been fruitless, the information headquarters of Nagorno-Karabakh reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 24, Karabakh announced that the Azerbaijani armed forces had violated the line of contact in the Askeran District, and women and children were evacuated from the communities of Parukh and Khramort. The Azerbaijani militaries occupied the village of Parukh in the Askeran District, the head of the village reported. Baku denied reports about the advance of the Azerbaijani troops in Karabakh.

Vardan Mikaelyan, the head of the Parukh community, says that the village is under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces.

According to Zorik Abramyan, the head of the Khramort community, “the situation is tense, during the day, Azerbaijan violates the ceasefire, including using combat drones.”

There were no casualties among the civilian population.

The information headquarters of Nagorno-Karabakh reported that as a result of the use of combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by the Azerbaijani armed forces, two militaries were killed and other two were injured, while five more soldiers were injured at night.

The authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh expressed the hope that the efforts of the Russian side would allow returning the Azerbaijani troops to their original positions and civilians to their homes.
