About half of Khramort families return home from evacuation

Residents of the Khramort village in the Askeran District of Nagorno-Karabakh, who had left their homes due to shelling, begin returning to the village, which is guarded by Russian peacemakers, the head of the community has informed. Azerbaijani militaries continue exerting psychological pressure on the villagers by turning on national music loudly, the villagers have complained.

The situation in the Khramort village is relatively calm, said the head of the community, Zorik Abramyan. The village has supplies of electricity and water; it has communications, and the roads leading to the village have been cleared. However, "Azerbaijani military posts have not been removed away from the village," he has added.

According to Marina Avanesyan, the fact that Russian peacemakers ensure the Khramort villagers' safety gave people confidence that peaceful life is possible. She has noted that in recent days there were no victims of shelling.

Naira Abramyan has noted that many families with children have returned to the village. "But the Azerbaijani party is constantly turning on the loudspeakers... We hope this issue will be resolved, and the psychological terror of the villagers will stop," the woman said.
