Koba Margiev, a native of North Ossetia, was detained on March 13 in central Moscow, where a protest against the special military operation in Ukraine was held. On March 14, the court sentenced him to ten days of arrest.

Margiev's comrade witnessed the detention and told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they had not planned to take part in the action.

"We were just getting out of the metro, when Koba was asked to show his documents. He wanted to get a mobile phone and show documents on the phone, but they immediately start twisting and beating him up. I've never seen anything like this! You can even check on the cameras that we didn't go to the action – we just came out of the metro," the man said.
