Kadyrov announces cleansing of Ukrainian settlement

Chechen special fighters have occupied a dwelling settlement in Ukraine, and after a "thorough cleansing" went on, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 26, Kadyrov announced that Chechen fighters had left for Ukraine to perform orders of President Vladimir Putin. Mufti of Chechnya, Salakh Mezhiev, informed that Chechen fighters "had gone to jihad."

Kadyrov has posted a video on his Telegram channel, in which Anzor Bisaev, the commander of the "Akhmat-Grozny" OMON (riot police) unit, brought a woman home – "before the start of the special operation, she worked as a teacher in a neighbouring village and for 13 days, sitting in the basement, knew nothing about the fate of her relatives. Her daughters met her and thanked the fighters for their mother's return."

During the six days of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, a lot of rumours and conjectures have appeared. What is really known about the participation of Chechen law enforcers, about their losses and statements of the republic's leadership, – read the details in the reference material of the "Caucasian Knot".

Three more videos were also posted – a video report of Chechen militaries. On one of them, the author says: "If you order, we will go further. We capture them every day. They run away from us ... The only problem is the absence of communication."

In another video, he says: "We will carry out your order in any case, as long as we are alive."

Earlier, Kadyrov announced a USD 500,000 reward for the heads of Ukrainian nationalists and Chechen commanders fighting on the side of Ukraine. He explained that the mission of Chechen units is to punish those who had killed civilians in Donbass and Odessa.
