Self-proclaimed DPR and LPR announce people's evacuation to Rostov Region

The Rostov Region has enough experience to accept refugees from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR). They will be provided with everything they need, Victor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, said on February 18.

Since February 18, "a mass centralized departure of the population to the Russian Federation has been organized. First of all, women, children and the elderly are evacuated," Denis Pushilin, the head of the self-proclaimed DPR, has stated, adding that in agreement with the Russia leadership in the Rostov Region places for receiving and accommodating citizens are ready, the Donetsk News Agency has informed.

According to Mr Pushilin, the President of Ukraine will soon order the militaries to launch an offensive in the Donbass and "implement a plan to invade the territory of the DPR and LPR," the RBC has reported.

Civilians will be massively evacuated from the self-proclaimed LPR to Russia, Leonid Pasechnik, the head of the LPR, has confirmed. "I instruct the heads of the territories, law enforcement bodies and emergency services to ensure the organized evacuation of social facilities and help the population to reach the border checkpoints," the "Luhanskinform" Agency quoted him as saying.
