Armenia refutes Azerbaijan’s accusation of a shelling attack

The information that Armenian soldiers shelled the Azerbaijani positions in the northeastern and eastern directions of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan does not correspond to reality, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan announced that units of the Armenian armed forces shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Kelbadjar and Tovuz Districts (the Armenian name of Kelbadjar is Karvachar, – note of the “Caucasian Knot).

The Armenian military forces did not shell the positions of Azerbaijani soldiers in the Kelbadjar and Tovuz Districts, the press service for the Armenian MoD reported.

The information about a shelling attack on the Azerbaijani positions on November 14 and 15 in the northeastern and eastern directions of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan does not correspond to reality, a press service official told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent. “The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable,” the military official said.
