Azerbaijan announces shelling from Armenia

Units of the Armenian Armed Forces have shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the Kelbadjar and Tovuz Districts, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

"On February 14, on 6:45 p.m. (5:45 p.m. Moscow time), units of the Armenian Armed Forces from their positions located in the village of Zyarkend of the Basarkechyar District (the Gegarkunik Region of Armenia, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), for no reason, opened periodical fire from small arms at positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the settlement of Barmagbina of the Kelbadjar District," the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has stated.

Besides, at about 1:40 a.m. on February 15, the Azerbaijani positions located near the dwelling settlement of Agbulag in the Tovuz District were shelled from the direction of the dwelling settlement of Chinarly in the Tovuzgala District (the Tavush Region of Armenia, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"). Azerbaijani militaries took retaliatory measures, the Azeri MoD has specified.
