Law enforcers report about prevention of terror acts in Northern Caucasus

Members of units of international terrorist organizations were plotting terror acts in educational institutions in Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and the Stavropol Territory, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reported.

According to Alexander Bortnikov, the chair of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) and the director of the FSB, law enforcers prevented terror acts in educational institutions.

In addition to the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), terror acts were also prevented in Moscow, Crimea, and the Tver Region. “Supporters of the destructive ‘Columbine’ ideology were involved in the preparation of the most of them. On February 2, due to the increased public danger, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation recognized the movement as a terrorist organization, and its activities were prohibited,” the NAC reports.
