Zarema Musaeva arrested for 15 days in Grozny

Zarema Musaeva is kept in the special detention centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Chechnya; she was detained because of insulting and attacking a policeman in Grozny. The court arrested her for 15 days, Akhmed Dudaev, the Minister of Information and Press of Chechnya, has informed.

"After the woman was taken to Grozny, she attacked a policeman and nearly hit his eye out. By doing so, she has already earned herself an article for a real prison term," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.

On January 20, the CaT reported that Zarema Yangulbaeva (Musaeva), the wife of retired federal judge, Saidi Yangulbaev, was abducted, in an unconscious state, by cars with Chechen license plates. On January 21, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, confirmed that Yangulbaeva had been taken to Grozny, and said that the Yangulbaevs should find their place "in prison or under the ground." Saidi Yangulbaev and his daughter Aliya have left Russia. The European Union (EU) has called for the release of Zarema Musaeva, who had been forced to Chechnya. The advocate is not allowed to visit Zarema Yangulbaeva, said her son, Abubakar Yangulbaev, a lawyer for the North-Caucasian branch of the CaT*.

On January 21, Mansur Soltaev, the Chechen Ombudsperson, announced that he had met Zarema Yangulbaeva. In a video posted on the Instagram, she states that she is being treated well.
