Resident of Chechnya apologizes for criticizing New Year Tree

A resident of Chechnya has filmed a video with a crooked New Year Tree and posted it on the TikTok; later, he had to apologize for his joke treating it as an unworthy deed.

After he had ironically commented on the installation of the New Year Tree in his video, he filed a new video in which he asserts that he "had shown disrespect for the Tree and made fun of it."

"Such loafers like me disrespect other's work, take their phones and shame themselves ... I did an unworthy act; and I ask to forgive me. This will be a lesson for me for my lifetime," he said.

Commentators expressed their surprise at the apology of the video's hero. "Well done, that he has apologized; otherwise they'd announce blood feud to him because of the tree," the user kerimooo has noted ironically.

"Humiliating people like that ... It's inadmissible. How can you show disrespect for an inanimate object – the New Year Tree?!" the user Yana Soboleva has asked.
