"Geiryat": Georgian citizens residing in Russia are scared to go out
Georgian citizens of Azerbaijan origin, like all other citizens of Georgia who live in Russia, cannot get employed and do not dare even to go out of their homes. This information was told today by Alibala Askerov, leader of the Georgian national movement "Geiryat," to Azerbaijani Agency "Trend."
He has noted that unlike citizens of Azerbaijan and other CIS member-states, the Georgian citizens in Russia are under special visa treatment. According to Mr. Askerov, the situation with Georgian Azerbaijanis who live in Russia, same as the situation with all the Georgians resident in this country, is extremely heavy.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that the oppressions of Georgia's natives by Russian militia were the consequences of the "espionage scandal" that burst out in Georgia on September 27, 2006. Deportation of illegal immigrants from Russia was treated by official Georgian bodies as ethnic cleanings and even genocide of Georgia's natives.
