Tumso reports about liberation of his six relatives in Chechnya

Six out of the nine relatives of Tumso Abdurakhmanov kidnapped in Chechnya have been set free; the whereabouts of his uncle, cousin and nephew remain unknown, the blogger has informed today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 22, the oppositional blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, reported about the kidnapping of his paternal and maternal relatives living in Chechnya. He has linked the kidnappings with his brother's criticism of Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament. Tumso has posted a screenshot of a message with a threat to kill his relatives should he fail to post, within 24 hours, a video with apologizes to Kadyrov.

Six out of nine Tumso's relatives, who had been detained earlier, have been released. The blogger announced this today in his Telegram channel. "They've released two of my nine kidnapped relatives: Muslim Khasarov (maternal uncle) and Mokhmad Tsukaev (maternal cousin)," Tumso wrote in his Telegram channel.

Later, he posted another message: "Four more relatives have been released: Movldy Abdurakhmanov (first cousin once removed), Musa Abdurakhmanov (first cousin once removed), Movsar Abdurakhmanov (first cousin once removed), and Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov (second brother-cousin)," Tumso has specified.

According to his story, three relatives are still in custody: Salambek Khasarov (maternal uncle), Takhmina Abdurakhmanova (cousin), and Deni Abdurakhmanov (second nephew).
