Blogger Malizaev reports kidnapping his relatives in Chechnya

Minkail Malizaev, a blogger criticizing Chechen authorities, has announced the kidnapping of his paternal and maternal relatives in Chechnya. Tumso Abdurakhmanov, who had also reported about kidnapping of his relatives, has posted a message that a similar fate had befallen relatives of Mansur Sadulaev, the founder of the "Vayfond" Association.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 22, the oppositional blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, reported about kidnapping of his relatives living in Chechnya. The blogger linked the kidnapping with his brother's criticism of Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament.

On December 22, the blogger, Minkail Malizaev, also reported about the kidnapping of his relatives living in Chechnya. "They detained all my paternal and maternal relatives – both males and females. <...> They've sent me several photos of my naked female relatives. Nobody knows where they are kept," Malizaev said in a video message posted in the Telegram channel "Beware, news".

Malizaev told the Telegram channel that they had sent him photos of his mother and sister, and a man named Khasan demanded from him to stop criticizing authorities.

Today, on December 23, on his Telegram channel ABU SADDAM SHISHANI, Tumso Abdurakhmanov posted a screenshot of the message, which, according to his story, was sent "to the feedback bot". The message says that soon Abdurakhmanov will receive photos of his relatives.

Abdurakhmanov has also reported about the kidnapping of the cousins of Mansur Sadulaev, the founder of the "Vayfond" human rights association. "Apparently, we see a large-scale action against Kadyrov's critics," Tumso has added.
