Week of December 13-19 passed without victims of armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week from December 13 to December 19, 2021, the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus brought no information about any casualties or wounded persons. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
KBR resident convicted for recruiting into IS*
The Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced Aznaur Chechenov, a resident of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), to ten years in prison and a fine of 100,000 roubles, having found him guilty of recruiting a local resident into the ranks of Syrian militants. Aznaur Chechenov, a 30-year-old native of the settlement of Sovietsky, was accused of aiding terrorism and making and keeping a sawn-off shotgun from a hunting rifle. He has refused to plead guilty.
Every month, quarter, and every year, the “Caucasian Knot” posts statistics with regard to victims of the armed conflict in the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) in Section “Northern Caucasus: Statistics of Victims”.
