Khalitov's brothers continue video appeals to critics of Chechen authorities

In their new video messages, the brothers of Khasan Khalitov, a blogger living in Turkey, have urged him to stop criticizing the Chechen leadership.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Khasan's relatives recorded video messages to him at least twice.

In September, Khasan Khalitov accused Chechen law enforcers of kidnapping his relatives living in Chechnya. He also stated that Chechen authorities were behind the blood feud announcement against him and several other families living in Chechnya.

A new video message by Ramzan Khalitov addressed to his brother Khasan was posted on December 3 in the Instagram public "About Chechnya and Beyond". Ramzan, the Khasan's elder brother, is "trying to convey" to the blogger that he is being "harshly used" by the ideologues of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, who live in Europe and who "had stuffed his head" with information, unnecessary and devoid of common sense, the annotation to the video explains.

On the same day, another video, recorded by Ramzan Khalitov and, according to the post, another Khasan's brother, appeared on the Instagram public "Chechnya Online". "Why do you create problems for your parents and relatives? You are not a man, Khasan," says the annotation to the video.
