Member of jama'at "Yarmuk" killed in Kabardino-Balkaria
Last night, in the centre of Nalchik, capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Radik Bappinaev, member of jama'at "Yarmuk," who was in international search from spring 2005, was killed in the course of a clash with militia patrol, the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" reports.
In his collision with militiamen, Radik Bappinaev opened fire and threw a grenade into the patrol car with three militiamen inside. They did not suffer any damage, while the militant was killed by response fire.
They confiscated from the casualty a PM ("Makarov") pistol, stolen from the State Committee for Drugs Control for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in December 2004, a grenade, a radio station and five magazines with 28 pistol cartridges.
Radik Bappinaev was suspected of taking part in the attack and murders of "GIBDD" (Road Police) members in 2005.
