Regions of Southern Russia are outsiders in wage level
In the ranking of Russian regions in terms of wages, Kalmykia took the last place. Only 1.2% of residents of this republic get salaries over 100,000 roubles per month, while 19.6% residents get less than 15,000 roubles. The ten outsiders also include Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan.
The rating of Russian regions by the level of average wages has been published today, November 22, by the RIA "Novosti". Among the regions of Southern Russia, the largest share of citizens who receive wages of more than 100,000 roubles is in the Astrakhan Region (3.8% and 34th place). At the same time, 17.2% of the region's residents receive less than 15,000 roubles. The range of the most common salaries in the region is from 18,000 to 43,000 roubles.
The republics of Northern Caucasus are among the last ten. The 76th place is occupied by Karachay-Cherkessia, while Kabardino-Balkaria is in the 78th place in the rating; Chechnya is in the 80th place; Ingushetia and Dagestan are nearby – in the 82nd and 83rd places. The share of those receiving wages of more than 100,000 roubles in these republics is the same and amounts to 1.3%, while the share of those receiving less than 15,000 roubles is different – 22.2% and 27.5%, respectively. The range of the most common salaries is from 16,000 to 31,000 roubles in Ingushetia and from 14,000 to 32,000 roubles in Dagestan.
Finally, Kalmykia turned out to be an outsider in the entire rating, where only 1.2% of residents receive more than 100,000 roubles. The share of those who receive less than 15,000 roubles per month is 19.6%, and the range of the most common salaries is from 17,000 to 34,000 roubles.
