Instagram users are sceptical about "Chechenstat" report on the end of census
Chechnya is the first Russia region to complete the population census by 100%, the head of the "Chechenstat" (the Chechen Branch of the Russian Federal State Statistics Service) has stated. Some residents of Chechnya were sceptical about the statement and reported on the Instagram that they had not participated in the census.
The All-Russian Population Census is held from October 15 to November 14, 2021.
All the residents of Chechnya have passed the All-Russian Population Census, Ramzan Digaev, the head of the "Chechenstat" stated on November 6. "The Chechen Republic is the first and the only Russian region of that has completed the population census by 100%," the RIA "Novosti" has quoted him as saying.
On November 6, this Ramzan Digaev's statement was posted on the Instagram account of the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company). In their comments thereto, some social network users, who position themselves as residents of Chechnya, have noted that they had not yet taken part in the census.
"They've forgotten me," the user a_montana has written in particular. "Nobody came to us, it's already not 100%; same with my neighbours," the user marina_benoo has added. "Nobody visited us either," the user salataeva_666 has stressed. "Same with us," the user milanahasu has confirmed.
Similar comments were left by some Instagram users under the publication of the "Grozny-Inform" News Agency about the "Chechenstat" report. "How could it happen? No one came to our apartment, although we're almost always at home," the user svetlanasigidina has written in particular.
