Social network users support Tumso's opinion about incident with applicants for maroon berets

The scandal with the applicants for maroon berets from Chechnya became an example of obtaining titles by using dishonest methods; this situation has only confirmed the unprofessionalism of Chechen law enforcers, subscribers to the website of the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, have stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier this October, "Rosgvardiya" servicemen stated that law enforcers from Chechnya had received maroon berets undeservedly. Unlike military ranks, maroon berets are traditionally awarded deservedly; therefore, the injustice has sparked a sharp reaction from militaries, experts have noted.

Sergey Lysyuk, the head of the "Vityaz" Brotherhood of Maroon Berets, said that a relative of the head of Chechnya had been removed from the tests. Ramzan Kadyrov will trigger a sharply negative attitude towards himself among the army, if he fails reacting to the scandal, law enforcers have noted.

A video clip about the scandal posted by Tumso Abdurakhmanov on his YouTube channel has sparked an active discussion.

Some commentators believe that this scandal evidences that people regularly receive various titles in the country by using dishonest methods.

This practice of cheating at exams is quite common in the Caucasus, Rasim Abduselimov has pointed out.

Some users have treated the scandal as a confirmation of unprofessionalism of Chechen law enforcers; and only a small part of commentators have supported Chechen fighters.
