Ten NGOs stopped in Ingushetia
Offices of international humanitarian organizations located in Naberezhnaya Street, Tagrim community, City of Nazran, Ingushetia, have closed.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from a community resident. According to him, the offices had closed a little more than a month ago after one of the cottages was shelled.
One should know that Tagrim community hosts about a dozen of representative offices of international humanitarian organizations. Basically, they are the structures of the United Nations: the UNHCR (UN High Commissioner for Refugees), the WFP (World Food Programme), the WHO (World Health Organization), the UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), and others.
Currently, none of the Nazran Branches of these NGOs is operational, and all the humanitarian activities in Ingushetia and Chechnya are managed from the Head Office in the City of Vladikavkaz, Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (RNO-A).
Nobody knows whether these amendments in the work of the above organizations are related to the recent shelling. NGOs' representatives make no comments on the situation.
