Makhachkala court arrests teen suspected of killing classmate
The ninth-grader suspected of fatally stabbing his peer at a Makhachkala school has been placed in custody for two months.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 11, in School No. 51 in Makhachkala, a conflict of two ninth-graders occurred. One of the teens stabbed the other with a knife. The wounded one died in hospital; the suspect in the attack was detained. Investigators opened a negligence case against the school principal and the head teacher, the Dagestani Ministry of Education and Sciences has announced their dismissal.
The detained teen has been arrested for two months, Zarema Mamaeva, the head of the press service of the Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan, has informed.
In the opinion of Marina Ezhova, the children's ombudsperson of Dagestan, the attacker's parents are to blame for the tragedy in the Makhachkala school. Instagram users have objected stating that the incident occurred through the fault of teachers and officials.
