North-Ossetian "UBOP" rejects charges of kidnapping Ingushetian residents
Investigative actions are now undertaken in relation to Aladdin Malsagov, an earlier detained resident of the Republic of Ingushetia. The law enforcement bodies of North Ossetia inform that the 40 years old inhabitant of the village of Barsuki is accused of illegal operations with precious metals, in particular, sale of gold, which is penalized under Article 191 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
On March 29, as a result of an operation conducted in the vicinity of the city of Nazran, the employees of North-Ossetian "UBOP" (Department for Fighting Organized Crime) detained two suspects, however, in the course of transporting them to Vladikavkaz, an incident happened at the "GAI" (Road Police) check point. Finally, they managed to deport Aladdin Malsagov to the "UBOP" facilities, while his accomplice Bagautdin Tochiev remained in Ingushetia.
"The activity results of the Department for Fighting Organized Crime are expressed through the number of criminal cases delivered to the court and verdicts passed. Unjustified detainments, especially in the territory of neighbouring regions, are out of our practice," a spokesman from North-Ossetian "UBOP" explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In the period from 1999 to 2004, a total of 59 Ingush natives were condemned for committing grave and especially grave crimes in the territory of North Ossetia.
