Abdulmumin Gadjiev's colleagues hold pickets in Makhachkala

In Makhachkala, solo picketers have demanded to release Abdulmumin Gadjiev, a journalist of the "Chernovik" (Draft) portal, and all political prisoners; they also called to stop arrests without proofs.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that pickets in support of Gadjiev are held weekly in Makhachkala.

According to investigators, Abdulmumin Gadjiev, acting jointly with Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" Charitable Fund, Kemal Tambiev, raised 68 million roubles and USD 200,000 for the terrorists under the pretext of building mosques and helping poor Muslims. Gadjiev insists on his innocence, and his colleagues treat the criminal case against him as a tool of putting pressure on Abdulmumin.

On August 2, Gadjiev's colleagues held four solo pickets at the intersection of Dakhadaev Street and Rasul Gamzatov Avenue in Makhachkala. Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he went out to the picket with a demand to release Abdulmumin Gadjiev from custody and stop his criminal prosecution.

The second picket demanding to stop unjustified arrests was held by Magdi Kamalov, the founder of the "Chernovik"; the third one with a demand of freedom for all political prisoners was held Idris Yusupov, a journalist; and the fourth one was held by Eduard Ataev, an activist, Mr Magomedov has informed.
