Internet commentator publicly apologizes for insulting Kadyrov

The author of an offensive comment on the Internet to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has publicly apologized to him, explaining his behaviour by the fact that he was drunk, as it follows from the publication in Chechen Instagram-publics. Some social media users have criticized the young man for insulting Kadyrov; others treated his public scolding as inappropriate.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Instagram users had launched a flash mob containing a mention of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, after on May 17, the latter threatened to kill the social network user for writing "you are not a human being, you are just a shaitan." On June 11, the "Grozny" TV Channel released a video showing the teenager from Kabardino-Balkaria apologizing for the video and words insulting Kadyrov.

The flash mob dedicated to Kadyrov in social networks with the word "shaitan" indicates a rejection by the public of the practice of public apologies, says Svetlana Gannushkina, the chair of the "Civil Assistance" Committee*.

"This will not happen again ... I know that he is kind and responsible; he helps many Muslims and brothers from neighbouring republics. I sincerely apologize," the young man said in a new video posted on the Instagram with apologies for insulting Kadyrov.

The description of the post says that the users who insult Kadyrov should be punished.

"You shouldn't talk whatever you want; then there will be no need to apologize," the user serazhdimurtuzaev has noted.

Let us remind you that residents of Chechnya are regularly asking pardon for misconduct and criticism of the authorities; and reports about this are released, in particular, by the "Grozny" TV Channel.
