Flash mob participant apologizes to Kadyrov for insult

An author of a video with the insult to Ramzan Kadyrov apologized to the leader of Chechnya and explained that he was in a state of alcoholic intoxication when he was recording the video.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Instagram users launched a flash mob with a hashtag containing a mention of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and a word “shaitan” (demon). Social media users organized the above-mentioned flash mob after on May 17, Ramzan Kadyrov threatened to “destroy” an Instagram user for the comment reading: “You are not a human being, you are just a shaitan.” The comment was posted during the live broadcast of the leader of Chechnya on Instagram. On May 19, the “Grozny” state-run TV Company released a video with the apologies voiced by a father and other relatives of the Instagram user who left the comment (a 15-year-old native of Dagestan).

On the night of May 27, a video with an adult man’s apologies to Ramzan Kadyrov was posted on the Instagram page “eldit_net” with about 220,000 users. “Hello, Ramzan Akhmatovich! I recently called you a shaitan, please, excuse me! I just got up in the morning and drank some alcohol while I was hungry. I guess I myself was a shaitan at that moment. I apologize for the insult! I know many people from among your subordinates, and I respect you and all of them. Well, what can I say to those young people who are now on the Internet [conducting a flash mob]? I would say: ‘Guys, you should not do all that! Don’t make mistakes,” said the author of the video.
