Instagram users criticize a show of wedding dresses in Makhachkala

In Dagestan, any show of transparent dresses is unacceptable, Instagram users point out after having watched a fragment of a video from the wedding fashion show organized by the “Discourse” contemporary art club. Some of Instagram users called for a ban on events violating the moral norms adopted in the republic.

Today, the “ChP Kavkaz” public account on Instagram has posted a fragment of the video lasting several seconds. The video depicts a young woman in a dress completely transparent in the areas of her waist and legs walking in front of the audience.

An author of the post with the above video described the fragment as “a depraved show of wedding clothes,” which took place in Makhachkala.

Social media users shared the indignation of the author of the post. “May Allah Almighty humiliate you, everyone who supports such events and everyone who participated in them,” wrote, in particular, user hamilton.8054.

“I won’t be surprised if a gay parade will soon take place in Makhachkala,” user abdulaev.09 commented on the video. “These are different things, since boys do not belong to informals. [...] But the fashion show is not good, there are already professionals who should take into account and comply with the generally accepted norms,” answered user eda_na_zakaz05.

“In general, why are such events allowed? They must be stopped at the stage of their preparation,” user mami_govoryat notes.
