Law enforcer testifies against Dagestani journalist Abdulmumin Gadjiev

Israil Akhmednabiev, Director General of the "Ansar" Fund, was involved in financing terrorism; and he attracted the journalist. Abdulmumin Gadjiev, to cover the Fund's charitable activities, the prosecution witness has stated. All the defendants were aware of Akhmednabiev's help to militants, he has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the court had extended the defendants' arrest until July 28. Relatives of Tambiev and Gadjiev complained about the ban on visiting the defendants. At the court session on April 29, the state prosecutor announced the list of materials from the "Chernovik" (Draft) website. They contain no signs of terrorism or extremism, Gadjiev has stated.

According to Salman Ibragimov, an operative agent for especially important cases of the criminal investigation department of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the "Ansar" Charitable Fund was created, with Abubakar Rizvanov as its deputy chairman. The raised money was cashed and transferred to terrorist organizations in Syria through another charitable fund, while "the general management thereof (funds) was carried out by Akhmednabiev, known as Abu Umar Sasitlinsky," Ibragimov has stated.

He has added that Akhmednabiev "attracted Gadjiev as information support for his activities, since he was a correspondent for the 'Chernovik', in order to create an image of a person who was engaged in charity."

Let us remind you that Abdulmumin Gadjiev's colleagues and friends are regularly holding pickets in Makhachkala in his support.
