Abkhazian MoD accuses Georgia of provocation
Sultan Sosnaliev, Abkhazian defence minister, has blamed as 'prevocational' the information of the Georgian party that "last night, two MI-24 combat helicopters and two SU-25 aircrafts flew into the Kodor Gorge from the territory of Abkhazia and remained over it for half an hour." This information was broadcast by "Rustavi-2" Georgian TV Company.
"This is another tensioning of situation, a provocation and a preparatory act to squeeze Russian peacemakers out of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone. The Georgian party is accumulating prevocational materials on the eve of the forthcoming sitting of the UN Security Council, which will consider the issue of a further stay of Russian blue helmets in the conflict zone," Mr. Sosnaliev has stressed in his interview to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" today.
We remind you that on March 12 the Georgian party also disseminated information about shelling of the upper section of the Kodor Gorge from Abkhazian territory.
