Volgograd activist arrested for 25 days after Navalny support action

A court in Volgograd has arrested Maria Khudoyarova, an activist of the local Alexei Navalny's office, for 25 days; she was detained after an action in support of the opposition leader.

Because she posted on March 23 in a social network a link to the website "Freedom to Navalny!" the court accused her of a repeated violation of the procedure for organizing a public event, Sergey Kunitsky, Maria's advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot".

Let us remind you that on April 21, protesters in Volgograd demanded to let an invited doctor visit and examine the opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, who is serving his prison term in a colony, and to transfer the medication he needs. At the action, law enforcers detained at least 10 people. On April 22, a court fined seven detainees; one more activist received 10 days of arrest.
