Five female Navalny supporters detained in Makhachkala

Law enforcers have put five activists who had unfolded posters in support of the opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, in the central square of Makhachkala, in a paddy wagon.

Dibirova was among those detained on January 23 during a planned rally in support of Navalny in Makhachkala and was warned against participating in illegal actions. However, she achieved through the court the recognition of the illegality of such a warning. Murad Manapov, an assistant coordinator of Navalny's office in Makhachkala, received a similar warning.

The Navalny office was opened in Makhachkala on April 11, and was coordinated by activist, Eduard Ataev. Soon Ataev and his assistant Manapov were arrested. According to Manapov, law enforcers demanded information from him about the plans of the office and about his relatives; he also received several blows and threats of torture.

Yulia Sugueva, a correspondent of the "Mediazona", was detained at a rally in Makhachkala, the edition informed in its Telegram channel.

On January 23, when rallies in support of Navalny were held throughout Russia, the Makhachkala law enforcers removed people from the central square, although none of them, according to eyewitnesses, unfolded any posters or shouted any slogans.
