Special operation is underway in Makhachkala, CTO regime introduced

A counter-terrorist operation (CTO) has been launched in the Sovietsky District of Makhachkala after a group of people rendered armed resistance to law enforcers, the operative headquarters has informed.

According to the Dagestani headquarters of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), unknown persons resisted law enforcers when the latter checked the data about the preparation of "terrorist crimes."

In response to an offer to surrender, an armed man opened fire from inside a private house, the NAC has reported.
