Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov reports about failed attempt on his brother

A killer from Chechnya refused to kill Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov in Germany and disclosed the name of the intermediary in the case, blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov claims. The family of the man hired for the murder was evacuated from Chechnya, and he himself was taken under the protection of German law enforcement agencies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 11, in Sweden, a court recognized Russian citizens as participants of an attack on Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov and sentenced them to ten and eight years of imprisonment. The coordinator of the assassination attempt is connected with associates of Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya, concludes the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial"*.

Blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov believes that the same person who ordered his own murder has been involved in the attempt on his brother. "He decided to take the path of least resistance. He didn't manage to kill me, and therefore he decided to kill my brother," the blogger says in a video posted on YouTube.

In Germany, the brother of Tumso Abdurakhmanov took part in rallies held by the Chechen Diaspora in support of political prisoners in Russia and against human rights violations and repression.

According to Tumso Abdurakhmanov's version, the organization of the murder of his brother was entrusted to a relative of Ramzan Kadyrov, who found an intermediary, a resident of Germany of Chechen origin. The intermediary "managed to illegally smuggle to Germany a pistol bought from an ill-wisher of the blogger."

Tamerlan Aurbiev was supposed to become a killer, he fought in Chechnya during the years of the armed conflict with Moscow and was amnestied by Ramzan Kadyrov, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported. According to the blogger, Tamerlan Aurbiev was detained while he was trying to illegally cross the border between Belarus and Lithuania.
