On February 10, at 8:30 p.m., a Georgian subversive group attacked the posts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO), having swept also dwelling settlements of the city of Tskhinval. On the same night, military observers of the Mixed Special Permanent Monitoring (MSPM) group and representatives of the OSCE Mission arrived to the place of the accident. The correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" has learnt about it at the Committee for Information of South Ossetia.
Captain Vladimir Ivanov, assistant of the MSPM Commander for contacts with mass media, has noted that in the morning of February 11, a repeated monitoring started. No victims on both parties have been registered.
It has been reported earlier in the information of the "Caucasian Knot" that Georgian media had disseminated a message that the South Ossetian party swept the Russian and Georgian peacekeeping posts. Observers from the MSPM and officers of the OSCE Mission did not confirm this information.
