Kadyrov has declared peace in Chechnya
The Chairman of Chechen Government has declared that "peace has set in finally and irrevocably" in the Chechen Republic.
Ramzan Kadyrov believes that all armed formations have been completely liquidated in Chechnya, and peace has set in the Republic. This statement was made on February 10.
In Ramzan Kadyrov's opinion, the basic merit in achieving the situation belongs to the federal centre. "When we were entrusted to solve the issues of our safety, there were many critics. But time has shown that it was an extremely correct decision, and due to the fact that Chechens themselves were grantee credit to take care of their safety, it became possible to settle the problems in a short period," he said.
"I declare with all the responsibility that bandit underground units in Chechnya have been beheaded, and illegal armed formations have been completely liquidated. Peace has set up in the Chechen Republic finally, irrevocably and forever," the prime minister has asserted.
Earlier, representatives of the Russian military command had stated that about 450 militants were active in Chechnya.
