One more lady-patient hospitalized in Azerbaijan on suspicion of avian flu

A resident of the village of Boyat of the Neftchalinskiy District was taken to the Scientific Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases of the Ministry of Public Health of Azerbaijan with suspicion of avail flu. Her blood samples were sent to laboratory for examination.

The State Veterinary Service of Azerbaijan has informed that the village of Boyat did not register any cases of mass deaths of poultry or wild fowl. Nevertheless, the corresponding analyses of birds' tissues from the Neftchalinskiy District and Boyat village will be sent to laboratory for analysis.

Meanwhile, pneumonia was reliably recognized to be the cause of death of the inhabitant of the village of Daikend of the Salyanskiy District, aged 14, who died on January 28. We remind you that on January 25, the teenager was brought to the Scientific Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases of the Ministry of Public Health of Azerbaijan, where he died on January 28. In total, five persons have already died from the avian flu virus in Azerbaijan.
