Ingush teip postpones reconciliation with relatives of victims of attack in Grozny

Relatives of the Timurziev brothers killed in Grozny decided to come from Ingushetia to Chechnya when "emotions subside," Sarazhdin Sultygov, a member of the Ingush teip, has informed. The Council of Teips of Ingushetia has suggested that the Sultygov and Timurziev teips settle the conflict with relatives of Chechen law enforcers in accordance with the Sharia law.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 28, policemen were attacked in Grozny; one of them died, the other was seriously wounded. Both attackers, natives of Ingushetia, Timurziev brothers, were also killed. The relatives of the deceased policeman, Magomed Djabrailov, announced a blood feud against Timurzievs' relatives. On January 1, the relatives of the wounded policeman announced their enmity with the Ingush teips (family clans) of Timurziev and Sultygov.

Magomed-Bashir Sultygov, a member of the Ingush teip, in a video message expressed his readiness to come to Chechnya as part of a delegation of "respected people" for a peaceful conflict settlement.

Sarazhdin Sultygov has added that preparations for reconciliation are underway. He has noted that "there are no grounds for declaring blood feud," since "the attackers are dead."

However, according to Sultygov, law enforcers are holding the killed brothers' relatives.

The Council of Teips of Ingushetia has published a video with an appeal to the Chechen and Ingush nations, in which Sultygovs and Timurzievs are invited to settle their relations with two Chechen teips in accordance with the norms of the Sharia law and Adats (historical traditions).
