IS claims responsibility for attack on policemen in Grozny

The "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, has claimed responsibility for the attack on law enforcers committed in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, as a result of which one policeman perished and another one was wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to the security officials, on December 28, two natives of Ingushetia were shot dead, when they attacked policemen in Grozny. Magomed Djabrailov, one of the policemen, has died, his colleague was wounded. On December 31, a video appeared in social networks, in which Djabrailov's relatives announced a blood feud against the residents of Ingushetia.

Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that the attack on the policemen was committed by two brothers who had moved to Chechnya from Ingushetia in 2012.

As noted by the Reuters, the IS gave no proofs of its involvement in the attack on the policemen.

Let us remind you that in their video appeal to Ramzan Kadyrov, members of the Ingush teips (family clans) of Timurzievs and Sultygovs, demanded to prove that their killed relatives were terrorists. Later, they posted their second video, where they stated that they had already watched the video from the crime venue, which clearly showed the actions of the attackers – Khasan and Khusein. They admitted they were wrong and expressed condolences to the family of the perished policeman.
