South-Ossetian President responds opposition's claims about Djabiev's death
Anatoly Bibilov, the president of South Ossetian, has announced an attempt by some politicians to promote themselves on the tragedy of the Inal Djabiev's family.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since December 4, a round-the-clock protest action organized by relatives of Inal Djabiev has been held in Tskhinvali. The protesters demand an efficient inquiry into the circumstances of his death, punishment of those responsible and the resignation of the public prosecutor general. Dmitry Tasoev, a former Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, said that he would be in the square next to the Djabiev family on the New Year Night.
The protesters complained that law enforcers prevented them from setting up a tent, from bringing fuel for the heater, and forbade shop and café owners to sell food to the protesters.
"You shouldn't make politics out of a tragedy. This is a tragedy not of one family, but of the whole republic. We must properly assess this crime," the "Alania-inform" quotes Mr Bibilov as saying.
He also accused the MPs that by refusing to do their job, they interfere with the adoption of important bills, the "Res" reports.
Let us remind you that many South-Ossetian MPs have supported the protesters in Tskhinvali. On December 19, the Parliament demanded from the Public Prosecutor General to carefully investigate the Djabiev's death case. At the same time, the MPs urged not to equate them to the opposition.
