Brother of Djabiev, perished resident of South Ossetia, joins protest in Tskhinvali
Inal Djabiev's twin brother Atsamaz, whose detention in South Ossetia was reported by his mother, has joined protesters in Tskhinvali after his release.
According to Maya Djabieva, Atsamaz was detained after crossing the Russian-South-Ossetian border. On December 4, the widow and relatives of Inal Djabiev went out to a protest and criticized the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) for the absence of results of inquiry into his death.
Inal Djabiev was detained within the case of an attempt on the life of Igor Naniev, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of South Ossetia, and died on August 28. Photos of his body with signs of torture appeared on the Internet. This provoked massive protests, followed by loud resignations.
Merab Pukhaev, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia, has met the protesters and promised a fair inquiry and punishment of all those responsible for Djabiev's death. He also called on the protesters to go home, but his call was not heard, the "Sputnik-South Ossetia" reports.
Let us remind you that the GPO called a heart failure amid the abolition of the drug as the cause of Inal Djabiev's death, but his widow distrusts the expertise outcomes.
