Berdzor residents leave their homes amid uncertainty
The Karabakh authorities have no information on the status of the city of Berdzor (Lachin) in the context of the December 1 planned transfer of the Lachin District to Azerbaijan, but townspeople have already left the city, considering it unsafe for living.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 25, Azerbaijan established control over the Kelbadjar (the Armenian name is Karvachar) District. The Armenians who have left the Kelbadjar, Agdam and Lachin Districts have set their houses on fire.
However, the list of 52 dwelling settlements of the district passing to Azerbaijan has no Berdzor city and the village of Agavno.
The "Caucasian Knot" has drafted a map to show the territories that will pass over to Azerbaijan after the autumn war. Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has published a deployment map of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Mger Mazmanyan, a resident of the Kashatag District, has noted that, according to his information, the city of Berdzor and two adjacent villages – Agavno and Sus – will remain with the Armenian party.
The man has added that all the residents of these settlements, although they left their homes, are unaware of what will happen next.
