Militiamen who harried an Adygea resident to death convicted in the Krasnodar Territory
The Krasnodar Territory Court has passed a verdict on the criminal case in relation to four district militia officers and one their civil acquaintance, accused of murdering an Adygea resident.
The UGA.Ru portal informs, with a reference to the press service of the Court, that one of the militiamen was sentenced to 5 years of colony, the second one - to six and a half years of imprisonment, and the remaining two district militiamen - to 18 and 16 years of colony, accordingly. Their civil acquaintance was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment.
The four accused militiamen were charged under Part 2, Article 105, of the Criminal Code (CC) of the Russian Federation (RF) ("murder") and Part 3, Article 286, of the CC of the RF ("excess of official powers"). Their acquaintance was accused only under Article 105 of the CC of the RF.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that the murder of Nalbij Achmiz had roused up the public of Adygea; the people were ready to hold meetings. However, soon after the tragedy in aul Afipsip, the officials from the power and law enforcement bodies of Krasnodar Territory met with the community of the Takhtamukai District.
