Azerbaijani militaries enter Kelbadjar District

After the withdrawal of Nagorno-Karabakh's military servicemen from the territory of the Kelbadjar (Karvachar) District, on November 25, units of the Azerbaijani Army entered its territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 14, the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh announced a revision of the deadline for the transfer the city of Karvachar (the Azerbaijani name is Kelbadjar, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") to Azerbaijan. As of November 24, Nagorno-Karabakh militaries had been withdrawn from the Karvachar District; the exodus of residents on the eve of the transfer of these territories under Baku's control continues. Before leaving, refugees set fire to their houses, offices and infrastructure facilities. On November 24, it also became known that residents had left the dwelling settlements.

The "Caucasian Knot" has drafted a map to show the territories that will pass over to Azerbaijan after the autumn war. Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has published a deployment map of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Units of the Azerbaijani Army had entered the Kelbadjar District, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported at about 1:00 a.m. local time on November 25.

"According to the trilateral agreement signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia, units of the Azerbaijani Army entered the Kelbadjar District on November 25," the MoD said in its press release.
